If I'm not mistaken, the McAdory family in Alabama originated in York District SC, leaving about 1800. The Thomas McAdory whose home still exists today was born in Christian County KY in 1817. Shortly afterward the McAdorys removed to the newly-opened Alabama territory. If I'm not mistaken, some member(s) of the family moved to Mississippi about fifteen years later.
