Edward, I believe that I agree with you. Repealing the 17th Amendment is a good idea. Let's try that first. Giving more power Back to the States is a good thing, a good direction. It just concerns me deeply when my fellow countrymen elect progressive thugs over and over again, for decades. There are two Americas and my America is full of conservative-libertarian people who believe the Bill of Rights and the rest of the U.S. Constitution are NOT living documents that should be disregarded in place of progressive policies like re-distributing wealth or right wing policies like nation building. As time goes by, we have less in common with the citizens of states like Massachusettes and California.
