Thank you Jim for this. It's disturbing how easily the knowledge of our National symbols has been quietly slipping away. From the 1st day of 1st Grade to the last day of 12th Grade we had a Bible verse, Prayer and the Pledge as our routine morning ritual. Now, at the public school where I work, we are hoping no one says anything about the moment of silence we have before the Pledge. Of course, no Bible verse is included.
