I'm not certain what your point is. Can you clarify?

I understand that Wikipedia is of limited value and is best used as a shorthand source at best. I generally refer to it when I am trying to convey something where facts are relatively undisputed. For instance, regarding history, I would check Wikipedia for a vice president I couldn't remember or what date a state seceded, etc... I don't take it as gospel. In fact, typically when I use it as a limited source I check the footnotes to make sure they go to something.
