Re: A glimmer of hope for some MIA's in WBTS

Hello Ron, While at the archives my attention was focused on something else at Natchez, Mississippi. I am always on the alert for out of the ordinary events however. I did take a photograph of the Natchez cemetery map and can send it to you as an attachment. My email address is dennis_brooke2001@yahoo.com. The year was either 1867 or 1869 and as noted they said upon re-interment four of the bodies were identified as Union soldiers because of their clothing and they had been ready to be sent to the Confederate Marietta National Cemetery. I've covered so much ground between then and now my memory is not sharp. My first post on this subject is probably more reliable. At this point the only thing I can do is to make a note of this and to find the information again and then take a photograph of the information and send it to you. However, I don't know when I'll be back at the archives again. It could be a month or it could be a year from now. The map is rather detailed and great efforts were made to identify the graves in which the bodies were taken. Lucky for me I know exactly where the information can be found when I go back someday. As far as I remember the graves did not have dates on them with the exception of the civilian graves. Thx Dennis
