There was no "Civil War" because the Confederate States were not trying to overthrow the United State Government. They were attempting to form a new Country of their own which was NOT prohibited by the United States Constitution and was permitted by the United State Declaration of Independence.

The results of the so called "Civil War" was the death of the Republic form of Government established under the United States Constitution and the establishment of the Authoritarian form of Government which we now suffer under where the States have no rights except those which are approved by the Federal Government.
