Re: Galvanized Yankees - 10th Tenn.
Patrick
Glad to know you. My primary interests are the Minnesotans who were recruited into the Confederate Army out of the prisons. So far as I know, three were recruited at Millen in Nov. 1864 and ended up in O'Neill's Regiment (linked with the 10th Tennessee, as he was also colonel of the 10th Tennessee) at Egypt Station, and two whom O'Neill recruited in Andersonville in late Jan. 1865. I don't know what unit the last two ended up in, but both escaped in April 1865 to Union lines. Do you know of any Minnesotans recruited at Florence?
Best wishes,
John
