My gggrandfather,Pvt.W.H. Webb,states in his pension that he was in Capt.Baker's Co.A,Hardeman's Regiment.I only have 4 of his muster rolls.From May-July 1862,he is listed as serving in Capt.D.W. Baker's Co. of Infantry,Grayson County, Tx. March & April,1863,he's listed in Capt. Baker's Co.Regiment Arizona Brigade Mounted Volunteers.
March 1865 he's listed in Co. A 31 Reg Texas Cavalry.Not until 1865 do I see any official looking reference of the same people(Prvt.Webb,Capt.Baker,Major Michael Looscan) that was in the 1st Texas Cav,Arizona Brigade,then listed
later in 1865 as being in the 31st Texas Cav.Looscan's muster roll of March 1864,lists him as Major of Hardeman's
Reg.Gano's Brigade.No mention of the 31st.Alot of books
may be wrong about the 31st Tex Cav.,if they did not consolidate.Capt.Baker's Co. was briefly turned over to Burnet's Sharpshooters(1862).Pvt. Webb's brother,W.C.
(Cyrus) was in Burnet's.May be a connection there.
