Keep your eyes peeled for the men who joined McKee's Palo Pinto Co TX militia. Samuel Pierce Newcomb wrote in the JOURNAL, 1865-1873 that he made a special trip to Austin TX to file in the adjutant's office this militia listing. Today, the librarians at the Texas Archives cannot find this listing. On the off-chance that this listing was published somewhere, please let me know.
