Yes, John W. Bone's militia Texas State Troops unit evolved into the CSA unit. I have both listings. Again, this John W. Bone is mentioned on 17 pages of my book. Following him is like chasing mercury.

I do not have the exact date that John W. Bone's TST militia company was accepted into the CSA, but I'd guess Aug 1, 1864. ..By the way, Bourland's TST militia regiment was accepted on Mar 1, 1864 into the CSA and that McCord's TST militia regiment was accepted on May 1, 1864 into the CSA.
