Yep, I'm still here... "Hee-Hee." And "No," I haven't had any more luck
trying to locate anymore helpful information about Harris Co/Ashby's Cav.

But from the claim that John H. Boon(e)'s wife Ruth E. Boone filed on
July 13th, 1863. I was told John had to have died within weeks to her
claim. So if we could just find someone "who still lives there in Hardy
and Hampshire County,(Old) Virginia/present day West Virginia., that is
willing to volunteer their time to see if the June/July 1863 Civil War
Papers might say something about John H. Boon(e)'s death. It might help
lead us into the right direction of our research. I'm still unable to
locate any death records or death notices for his widowed wife Ruth E.
Boon(e), either, who was still alive by the 1870's Sherman, Romney, Hamp-
shire County, West Virginia Census Records. But I can't seem to find her
still alive by the 1880 Census. So, either she died between 1870-1880,
Or else she remarried to someone (unknown)... John and Ruth's eldest son
(Joseph Jasper Boon(e) - who was my Great-Great-Great-Grandfather, died
there in Hardy or Hampshire Co, W.Va., by November 24th, 1914, and was
buried at the "Old Quaker Cemetery" along with his wife Sarah Catherine
(Dean) Boone, by February 20th, 1932. I wish I could find Joseph Jasper
Boon(e)'s Newspaper Death Notice, too...

And I haven't had anymore luck on finding out who Ruth E. (?) Boon(e)'s
parents were either...
