With regard to Samuel Norwood, I'm confused about your statement that place of enrollment had "nothing to do with where they lived". If most recruits had homes in places like Huntsville, Mobile, Eufaula, Greenvile and Gadsden, it would be understandable. However, West Greene (Hopewell) is within walking distance of Clinton, the place where Samuel Norwood enlisted. We had previously established that most original members lived within a ten miles or so of Clinton, including Eutaw, Pleasant Ridge, Boligee, Knoxville, Mantua, Mount Hebron and Hopewell. Is there good reason to believe otherwise?
