Sorry, poor choise of words. What I meant was the place of enlistment was not necessarily the place of residence or sometimes quite far away. I have several soldiers from Pleasant Ridge whose CSR states place of enlistment as Mobile, Columbus, Miss., New Orleans, Savannah, etc.

Further examination of contempory maps (Snedicor's 1856 and 1860) indicate most of these men were from the Mount Hebron-Hopewell area, some of which was in the Pleasant Ridge precinct in 1860.
