Thanks for the details about Camp Watts. Were all these camps numbered or just Watts?

I understood that by April 12th when Mobile was surrendered, Gen. Maury had moved his remaining troops by rail and steamer to Meridian and Cuba, respectively, and Spence's 16th Confederate remained behind as rear guard. If Ball's 8th Alabama was with Spence in this duty, I assume that Armistead's brigade remained behind as rear guard. Thanks for the details!
