Virtually all paroles for officers of both of these commands are dated Gainesville AL May 14, 1865.

Of course Claiborne is a considerable distance above Mobile, and there's no practical approach to Mobile in the Tensaw area above Blakely. My limited understanding is that Maury's Regiment moved through Mobile and north to cover possible crossings north along the Alabama River.
