We can include William V. Harrell's (Lewis') Cavalry Battalion as well.

The camp at Talladega, Camp Buckner, was No. 2. The law establishing camps of instruction called for two in each state.

Here's a partial list of companies from Macon County accepted by the State of Alabama, most recognized as belonging to the Alabama Volunteer Corps. Some of these later entered Confederate service, while others evidently disbanded:
