Thanks for the information -- I knew you guys would be able to fill in the blanks for me. I love this board! The information was very interesting and helpful. Some of it was a bit surprising too -- I was surprised by Alan's comments on lack of firearms. I guess I had assumed every family would have a gun of some sort for hunting and/or protection -- not for sport hunting but for providing family food. I made that assumption probably through the lore of the confederate soldier -- crack shot, accustomed to the elements, etc. That was an interesting twist I did not expect -- as always thanks for responding with more than meets the eye. Tells you a lot about making assumptions!

George -- not sure why I did not think of that website myself -- good one that I should have tapped into. Thanks!

This board really is a wealth f information -- you guys are terrific and I appreciate it.
