Re: Trying to locate Preston relatives

Dear, Mr. Pitts, thank you very much for the information regarding Joshua Earl Preston and Thomas Pleasant Preston. After reading your previous message, I looked up information regarding the Resaca Confederate cemetery in Resaca, Georgia. Unfortunately, Thomas Preston, was not listed as being buried there. Since the date he died is known, June 8, 1864 in a Federal Field Hospital, do you think there could be a record somewhere of where he was buried? For his name and date of death to have been known, I would think his body had to have been identified and possibly buried in a marked grave somewhere near where the Federal Field Hospital was located? Do you have any suggestions as to where I can begin my search on finding where he might be buried? Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.

Sincerely,

John L. Preston
