Dear, Steve, thank you very much for this information. You men from Alabama sure know your Confederate heritage!! I know where Joshua Earl Preston, his wife and children are buried. They are buried in Navasota, (Grimes County), Texas. He was a lawyer there after the war until he died. He was the older brother of my Great, Great Grandfather John C. Preston, who, also, lived and died in the same County. Thanks to the information provided by you men, I know know more about Thomas Pleasant Preston than anyone else in my family. I am going to try and find some of my relatives who may still be living in Alabama somewhere. Another Preston, William Bowker Preston I understand fought for an Alabama regiment. I know he was killed, but, I don't know when, where and/or how. I have no idea where he is buried either? I heard a rumor one time Joshua Earl and William Bowker Preston may have married two sisters from this same family. I would be interested in knowing any additional information you and Alan might be able to furnish. Again, thank you very much for all your help!

Sincerely,

John L. Preston
