Dear, Mr. Martin, thank you very much for the information you provided. I went to the website you suggested but got completely dumbfounded by the magnitude of the size of it.
What is puzzling to me is how his identity was known and even the extent of his injury including the date of his death in June? Would the Yankees have buried him in an unmarked grave even if his identity was known? Do you know where the Cumberland Field Hospital was possibly located and the nearest cemeteries in the area?
