I wish Arkansas had the same kind of detailed militia listings. The only Civil War era Arkansas militia records that I've been able to find come from those militia regiments which submitted muster rolls to the Confederate War Department at Richmond. These regiments mustered for annual inspection and drill in the early Spring of 1862.
Unlike Texas, much of Arkansas was invaded, occupied and fought over for years, resulting in the destruction of court-houses and State offices. So many records were lost during this period.
The work that Patricia is doing is Civil War preservation at its best. Likewise, Carolyn Bartels' work in researching and preserving similar documents in Missouri. And, of course, I cannot fail to mention your Alabama research.
Were it not for Jim Martin's CW message boards, most of us would not be aware of all this important research.
