I agree with Bryan about details. What would we do without them? Many of us remember being told that nobody would ever be interested in any of this, and all our efforts were a waste of time. Then along came the internet, and we learned otherwise.

One of the values of internet exchanges has been connecting with others who understood my purposes and the proper use of sources. Others can look over my shoulder, so to speak, and let me know where I'm off base or if I've wandered down a rabbit path. Much valuable time and effort has been saved that way.

[Along those lines, a friend of ours admitted that until recently she's always misunderstood the old expression, 'made from scratch'. Whenever anyone offered her something baked at home, Susan would say thanks and ask, 'Did you make that from scraps?']
