John T. C. McCaffery/ McAffrey. ..The Wash Co AR records show that McCaffery [b-1800 "on the ocean [NY]") m-Nancy E. (Miller) Evans, widow of David R. Evans who died in the California gold fields leaving 4 boys that were adopted by their maternal grandfather, Joseph D. Miller [d-1869 Wash Co AR will]. ..The 1860 Wash Co AR census shows McCaffery had 2 ch: Mary McAffrey, b-1855; Lafayette McAffrey, b-1858.
