I have a 3 band enfield marked TOWER dated 1856. The stock is stamped BOND under the butt also WD and arrow also the sold out of service arrows. However just recently I found the name
D?Williams stamped in the ram rod groove just forward of the hole where the ram rod enters the stock. Is this the name of the individual who made the stock, and was this a form of quality control? Has anyone else noticed the same practice on other enfields?
