Melanie - The other threads that you have received talk about the 2nd Ga Batallion. That is NOT the same unit as the 2nd Ga Regiment. This is a common mistake made by researchers. The Jackson Blues was one of the companies that comprised the 2nd Ga Regiment, 15th ( Benning's) Brigade, Longstreet's Corps , Army of Northern Virginia.
