The CWSS site has this screwed up. If I knew how to contact them I would. Maybe some of you know how. They have a description for the 16th Georgia Cavalry Battalion (with some errors in the battles) with rosters apparently for the 16th Georgia Cavalry Battalion State Guard. The State Guard only served in Georgia. They need to fix the description for the State Guard unit. The 16th Georgia Cavalry Battalion (13th Regiment Georgia Cavalry) did not participate at Cloyds Mountain. I can only assume that the men in the roster on this site are for the State Guard. The men in the roster for the 13th Regiment Georgia Cavalry are the same for the 16th Georgia Cavalry Battalion that formed at Big Shanty in May 1862.
