I just got back from photographing my great-great uncle's name (John Oliver Bramlet / Bramblett) on the monument at Confederate Mound Cemetery at Oak Woods Cemetery in Chicago. . . along with those of 7 other men of the 16th. Uncle John was in I Troop, but I've not been able to find his name in any of the on-line archive sources. He was capatured, evidently badly injured, in Kentucky probably in November of 1864, and died in Camp Douglas on December 23rd of that year. I'd be interested in learning of any records or rosters of the 16th available anywhere.
