I'm sure you mean Winn, not Wynn.

His service file includes a requisition for the battalion dated Jonesboro TN, Sept. 20, 1864. Since he signed a statement in January 1865 to the effect that of not being on leaving during the previous twelve months, Winn must have been commanding the larger part of the battalion. I don't see any evidence that he was ever with the small number of the battalion with Early in Virginia.
