Bruce, I have worked with these files at least 4 hours a week since I became aware that they were available, that's about how long it takes to go through one roll doing a blind random search. The majority of the files have index numbers but a good serchable index is not yet available. When I visit the archives the staff appear to have at least a partial index available to them, but to my knowledge it is not available to the public as yet.

Files appear to be organized by dates and geographical location. The progression appears to be east to west. The searches can be very time-consuming even with the correct dates. The first roll in the series is an index file but I have found it to be of only limited help. Once one has a file number the search becomes much easier.

Bob gave you the page number of the document he was looking at and I was able to duplicate his results. Any followup reports of the same incident will prove difficult unless any names that are found in the report can also be found using the original, searchable index. On two occasions I have emailed the archives with requests for documents and they have found additional documents in the Two or more Citizens files that did not appear in the index that is available, so you might contact them to see if they have the index numbers for any individuals you are looking for in the "2 or more" files.
