I thought it sounded familiar when I wrote that Chapman stuff Monday night. Please excuse me for sending you something twice. As we used to say in the Army, "if that's the worst thing that happens to you today, you'll be all right."
I am aware that the Moniteau County Historical Society has lots of good material, but it's been a long time since I have been there, since with my job I don't get to go to the county as much as I used to (of course, I'm glad to have a job these days). Three late good friends and relatives--Thelma Sappington, Rose Pilgrim, and Ruby Kuhlman--did a lot of work there while they were still with us, and I think the late Uncle Leslie McKee did, too. I did not know about the provost marshal's Tipton record book. Thank you so much for telling me about it. I wonder if it has anything about the Cooks. Hmmm. Probably too far west for them in Walker Township.
