I appreciate your looking again for me. I recall LT L. P. Crabtree, but I just figured a lieutenant could not possibly call himself a general. I had forgotten the lieutenant's initials included an "L." Recently, another source told me the Cole and Miller County southern recruiter Crabtree's first name began with the letter "L." It's starting to look like the lieutenant may be our man. I wish I knew more about him such as his prewar occupation and if he had prior military service before the Civil War.
