My great great grandfather was a Union soldier severely wounded at Champion's Hill as well. His military records say he was then captured and paroled while at Boll's Plantation Hospital, a week to ten days after the battle. A map of the battlefield has a home for E.R. Boll (or Bohl) just east of Sid Champion's house. Since Champion's house was used as a hospital I assume E. R. Boll's was as well. Anyone have any information on this particular hospital or know where I may research it? Thanks in advance.
