I believe the words of the letter probably meant 'there' where he was buried as Enterprise. It would not have taken much more time by wagon to deliver a soldier, dead or not, to a military camp such as Enterprise that was only ten miles away. Enterprise was probably his destination since it was the Parole Camp for the Confederates captured in the Vicksburg Campaign. Also, there would be ready material and tools there to make a coffin for someone who was traveling far from home.
