Thanks. I visited Lexington several years ago, and went by the Court House to check out probate, with no luck. I located his grave, and placed a small Battle Flag and a South Carolian flag on it; I realize he was a Mississipian, but he did fight with us'uns too! I don't have anything personal on him at all, and was hoping to hear from someone who might be related who could give me some personal data.

I don't have access to the Compiled Service Records for Mississippi units. I guess I could order them from the National Archives. If someone could check, I would like to know a summary of his service with the 18 Miss, icnluding any wounds, etc., promotions, etc.

Usually there was some connection to the units into which a man transferred; this is one of the few interstate
transfers with which I am familiar.

I'll put the information of Moses Pearson, with whom he transferred, in a separate post.
