William Eggleston was a student at The University of Mississippi, he was a freshman in the class of 1864, in the spring of '61. His brother Charles Joseph Eggleston was an 1859 graduate of Uof M. The both joined the Burt Rifles, Co. K 18th Miss. About 25 U of M boys were in the Burt Rifles. William seems to have lived for some time after the war in Corrollton,Carroll County, the next county seat straight to the north. I may have a few other things on one or both of them. Let me know if you need any more and I will do a file search/safari.
