Chase, you are very good at pointing out inconvenient truths, to quote the title of a recent major work of fiction.
Have to say that where Indians are coming from, as much as I admired Teal Eye in the 1952 movie, "The Big Sky," just leaves me cold most of the time. I have nothing against them personally, would even like to take one out for a drink.
I don't admire too much about Native American culture, with the possible exception of Navajo rugs or other such tangible output. I don't mean to be cruel, but I do have the right to express my opinion.
I will however, doff my WalMart hairpiece to Ely Parker, Stand Watie, and others who have done more for this country than those who just hang around for their turn at the spigot of the million-titted sugar pig.
The white man taught them gambling, and we're all the better for it. I guess this is pay-back for all those small pox blankets.
