Re: Stowing the P1853 Enfield "Tool"

The NCO tool has the necessary parts to repair a spring, the private's tool doesn't. I don't have a clue how to use it, but I know it does. As I said above, I suspect the Brits would have assumed it to be a knapsack item. The PACS troop would have carried it, if at all, wherever it was convenient, probably in his haversack. Just wish I could find something authoritative.
