Re: The purpose of discussion?

Dear Sand Springs Lady,

Evelyn, I utilize Wikipedia with some trepadation; however, I have found it an outstanding resource, if you take the extra step of verifying the information. Recently, I was doing some search for "full names", including middle names of brigade and high-level commanders at a particular battle. Wikipedia provided information or hints for many of these Colonels and Generals that I couldn't find anywhere else on the internet.

I do agree that many of the citations are inaccurate, political or ideologically concoctions and deserve severe scrutiny.

I'd hate for people to completely give up on what I believe is a valuable resource that needs some "tweaking".

Just my two cents.

Jim
