Wheneveer you need to reconnect with our culture, or learn about the old ways, particularly in the mountains of North Georgia, East Tennessee and the Carolinas, look for the "Foxfire" books. They were compiled by young students finding and talking with old timers. There is such a wide range of subject matter anyone can find something to be interested in, right on up to killing hogs and tanning skins, as well as roots and plants for various things that ail you.
