I am a proud recipient of the Navy Reserve 10 year service award as well as numerous Coast Guard Auxiliary awards for training courses, etc!

It never ceases to amaze me the awarding of order of merit, etc. awards given to senior officers for sitting behind their Pentagon mahogany desks for a couple of years.

Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon

Criteria: Awarded to drilling members of the Army Reserve and Army National Guard and is presented to any qualifying reserve components soldier completing ten or more consecutive days of active duty for training outside the contiguous United States. The Army Reserve, and Army National Guard are the only branches of the reserve components which issues an overseas ribbon separate from the active duty award. The Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon is the reserve component companion to the Army Overseas Service Ribbon. Additional awards of the decoration are denoted by award numerals.

Note:
This service ribbon is one of the few awards issued by the military as a ribbon only. There is no accompanying medal.
