I draw my conclusion from the fact that the South was so vehement about keeping their slavery,the economic, and social standing was too strong. Plus, they just didn't like the Federal Government telling them what to do.

Jim is right though, we have made glue from the remains of the dead horse as to why the war was fought. As far as the Secesion compareson with other countries...are we that unique?
