That is not the Calvanist belief. Which teaches the total depravity of man. The only good in man is the Holy Spirit which man, by his very sinful nature, trys to suppress. Man does evil naturally that is why the Bible tells us to "Sin Not".
Psalms, Chapter 14, verse 1, reads "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good."
Then you have in Romans the entire Chapter 3, which is sumed up in verse 23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
