Her first husband did seem to have a problem staying around camp during roll call. He was listed AWOL a few times but then we did some calculating on their childrens births and it seems he just went home for a spell since he was stationed not far from their home. He was disciplined a few times and even spent time in a 'locked area'. It may well be that was one reason for the denial.
