Jeremiah Buchanan, Sr., age 45, served in the 1st Rifle Regiment U.S. with his son, Hercules Buchanan. Jeremiah died on or about 30 Dec. 1813 and Hercules said he died at 11 Mile Creek in New York. Hercules petioned for the pension on behalf of his mother, Sarah.

I think Jeremiah was mortally wounded in the Battle of Black Rock. Not certain.
