I am talking about the official classification in the "Official Records" and it again it looks at duration, intensity, and length. As a historian, I look holistically at all accounts of size, duration, and intensity to describe what has happened. There are 1,000 stories in the naked city and soldiers always have their individual versions, some more creditable than others.

I have never met a soldier, sailor, or Marine that did not think that an event was a battle when a trigger was pulled.
