The John C. Vaughn camp is located somewhere in East Tennessee. The camp commander, James Young lives in Etowoh, Tenn.

I am writing the history of the 43rd Tenn. and a couple of men of the regiment took part in this engagement prior to the end of their Vicksburg furlough.

Post Vicksburg activities of the regiment are scarce, thus, I am forced to follow the trail of BGen. Vaughn.

I'd also be interested in what you may have on Vaughn. I have compiled a listing of some 15 officers serving on his Brigade staff.
