Gary: Hey, thanks so much for the information and knowledge! It definitely looks like the 2nd Texas Inf., reflects his service record, but if the info I have shows the 34th Texas, 2nd Regiment Texas Partisan Rangers, and Alexander's Regiment as one and the same, why would they not send me the same stuff? This stuff can be confusing. The more I know, the less I know, if you know what I mean.. Also, interestingly enough, I had asked for William Fleming/Flemming, 34th Texas Cavalry, Company "I". I must have seen that somewhere, as I don't believe I just made it up or something. Do you think there would state records in Texas State Archives? I saw that part about the Fleming in Co. B being discharged due to wounds in 63', but I would not have had the knowledge re the connection between that and not being available for Big Black. Thanks so much. I really appreciate your help!
