Gary, My GGU was James Tiry Nolan b.1844 Wilson, TN d. 1906 Rome, GA. He may have served in a Ranger TST in the summer of 1861 and joined Company B on September 12, 1861. A few weeks later, before they went to the Indian Territories, he transfered to Company K. In July 1862 he and his brother Robert Arthur (my GGF) were transferred to Company I as Sharpshooters. If I keep going I will compile a book on these two. The SCV just found Jame's grave in Ga. I plan to place a Confederate Marker for him before long. Hoping I find my GGF and can do two at one time.
