Re: "Battle of Salisbury Bridge"

To clarify my point; Although there were numerous Texas Cavalry units operating in north Louisiana in April of 1864,none of them were East of the Red River, where Saline Bayou and the Salt Works were located. General ST. John Liddell, who was commander of Confederate forces East of the Red River, only had Harrison's small brigade of Louisiana Cavalry to deal with the Union forces that attacked East of the river.Harrison's Brigade was made up of the 3rd.,4th., and 5th. Louisiana Cavalry Regiments. Harrison's troops were most likely those engaged at Salisbury Bridge.
