Bill, I am extremely interested in your message about St. Maurice. I haven't found Bayou de Cedars on my Civil War maps, but I think it may refer to "Cedar Bluff" on the southernmost part of old Saline Bayou. I need to check that.

Just beginning to check into Harrison's, but they seem to have been north Louisiana locals and from what I understand stayed in the general area throughout the War. So they may be a possibility.

I'll get back with you. I am planning to be in Baton Rouge soon and will try to get a little research in.
